Friday Services, a trusted advisor to leading law firms, is partnering with a well-regarded corporate and securities law firm in Northern New Jersey to identify an accomplished M&A Counsel or Partner to join its expanding transactional practice.
This firm is known for its sophisticated middle-market work and offers a differentiated platform that combines the depth and deal flow of a larger firm with the culture and direct attorney involvement of a boutique.

The role is designed for entrepreneurial attorneys with an existing or emerging book of business who value autonomy, meaningful client relationships, and the ability to build a high-performing practice within a supportive environment.
Scope of the Role

Advise buyers, sellers, investors, and Boards of Directors on the full lifecycle of M&A transactions

Represent public and private companies in domestic and cross-border matters

Handle mergers, stock and asset acquisitions and dispositions, joint ventures, tender offers, and strategic transactions

Draft and negotiate core and ancillary transaction documents, including purchase agreements, merger agreements, joint venture and operating agreements, and post-closing documentation

Coordinate with financing sources, regulatory bodies, and multidisciplinary deal teams

Advise Boards and Special Committees on complex transactional matters
Ideal Candidate Profile

Significant M&A experience at the Counsel or Partner level

Strong command of middle-market deal dynamics and transaction execution

Demonstrated excellence in drafting, negotiation, and structuring

Portable book of business or clear potential and motivation to grow one

Licensed to practice in New Jersey; New York admission is a plus
The firm offers a competitive compensation structure beginning at a $250,000 base, with discretionary bonuses tied to experience, performance, and contributions to business growth.
