TIG Welder / Tube Fabrication Technician
Pay: $18–19/hr (DOE)

Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented TIG Welder / Tube Fabrication Technician to support precision manufacturing of thin-wall tube assemblies used in high-quality industrial and specialty applications. This role performs hands-on fabrication from material preparation through final inspection, ensuring all products meet strict quality, safety, and dimensional standards.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate TIG welding equipment to weld stainless steel, aluminum, and carbon steel thin-wall tubing

Produce clean, consistent welds that meet visual, dimensional, and structural quality standards

Perform pre-weld fabrication tasks including cutting, deburring, fitting, aligning, and surface preparation

Complete post-weld finishing such as polishing, cleaning, and visual inspection

Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and fabrication drawings

Measure and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, and gauges

Identify weld defects, troubleshoot issues, and make process adjustments

Maintain welding equipment, replace consumables, and keep work area organized

Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and quality control standards

Meet production targets while maintaining consistent craftsmanship
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED

Minimum 12 months of TIG welding or tube fabrication experience

Ability to pass a weld test and basic metrology assessment

Experience working with thin-wall tubing preferred

Ability to read technical drawings and follow written work instructions

Proficient with hand tools, measuring tools, and fabrication equipment

Able to lift materials and stand for extended periods in a manufacturing environment
