Hendersonville, NC
1st Shift | Monday – Friday
Pay: DOE

The Production Planner is responsible for planning, scheduling, and coordinating raw materials, semi-finished stock, and production orders to ensure timely manufacturing and on-time delivery to customers. This role focuses on optimizing the use of materials and production capacity while maintaining high levels of internal and external customer service. The ideal candidate will help drive efficient workflow across manufacturing by balancing demand, inventory levels, and production capacity to support operational performance and delivery goals.

Key Responsibilities
Plan, schedule, and release manufacturing orders based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity
Coordinate the flow of raw materials, semi-finished goods, and finished products to ensure on-time delivery performance
Monitor production schedules daily and adjust priorities based on changes such as backorders, cancellations, or urgent customer needs
Ensure all materials are received and recorded accurately within system timelines (typically within 24 hours of receipt)
Track, update, and maintain production planning data within ERP or system-based tools
Communicate schedule changes, shortages, and production updates with internal departments including production, warehouse, and purchasing
Assist in resolving material availability issues and support efforts to minimize production delays
Maintain accurate records of production orders, routing changes, and scheduling adjustments
Continuously support improvements to planning processes, workflows, and system efficiency
Provide backup support for other planning or production control functions as needed

Qualifications
Associate’s degree in supply chain, Business, Manufacturing, or related field preferred
2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred
Experience in supply chain coordination, logistics, or production control strongly preferred
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Strong mathematical skills (volumes, measurements, conversions, and calculations)
Proficiency with Windows-based software, spreadsheets, and ERP systems
Strong communication skills for cross-functional coordination
