Position Overview

Our client’s business is a custom millwork company servicing multiple regions throughout the Southeast, specializing in residential custom cabinets, closet systems, and wine cellar racking. We are seeking an experienced and driven General Manager to lead our operations and play a pivotal role in the company’s continued growth and success.

The General Manager will be responsible for strategic planning, goal setting, and overseeing all aspects of millwork operations. This leader will ensure the company meets its financial targets in terms of revenue and profitability while maintaining high standards of quality, efficiency, low turnover, and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Develop and communicate a clear strategic vision for the millwork division, aligned with overall company goals and objectives.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for business growth and expansion into new markets, leveraging market research and competitive analysis.

  • Create and implement comprehensive business plans to drive growth, operational efficiency, and profitability.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, team members, suppliers, and industry partners.

Additional key responsibilities are included in the following areas: Operations, Production Management, Financial Management, Quality Control, Health & Safety Compliance, Team Development and Architectural Process & Client Experience

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a senior management role within the millwork or a related industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • Strong leadership, strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight skills.

  • Proficiency with Innergy, Excel, Word, Mozaik, MicroVellum, 2020, and other relevant industry tools.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders.
